This is the essence of the Turkish bath. First you warm up on the heated marble so your pores open; then your attendant scrubs your whole body with a kese mitt to remove dead skin. Finally you are washed with a cloud of foam whipped up in a cotton bag and rinsed.
Your skin feels noticeably softer afterwards. It is the most natural start for a first hammam.
